Measurement

Measurement

👀 Before Measuring:

  • Wear tight-fitting clothes, remove shoes, and tie long hair into a round bun at mid-height.
  • Stay relaxed for the most accurate results.

Choose the Right Test

Select the appropriate analysis based on the user's needs or treatment goals.

Follow the on-screen instructions to proceed with the measurement.

  • Posture Analysis – Detects postural imbalances and highlights the need for correction (Front, Side, Back, Adam's Forward Bend Test).
  • Core Function Analysis – Evaluates core stability through overhead squats.
  • Balance Ability Analysis – Evaluates balance and fall risk by standing on one leg for 10 seconds.

Posture Analysis

  • Purpose: Identify postural imbalances and emphasize the need for correction.
  • Recommended for: Office workers, students, pre/post-exercise evaluation, individuals with forward head posture or back pain.
  • Measurement Method: Front, side, and back view analysis, including Adam's Forward Bend Test.
  • 🤚 Do you see severe scoliosis visible to the naked eye?
To ensure accurate analysis, please guide the user to remove their top (or wear a bratop for females) and wear tight-fitting bottoms. Then, change the measurement mode.

Go to Setting > Features > Bare Mode and activate the function according to the criteria below:
    • Bare Mode ON: when severe scoliosis is visibly identified with the naked eye.

Measurement Outfit: No top / Bratop (for females) + Tight-fitting bottoms
    • Bare Mode OFF: for general posture measurement.
       Measurement Outfit: Tight-fitting top + Tight-fitting bottoms

📌 Front, Side, Back Measurement Positions

  • Stand relaxed while keeping your gaze straight ahead.

📌 Adam's Forward Bend Test Position

  • Knee: Keep the knees straight.

  • Chin: Tuck it toward the collarbone.

  • Hands: Extend your arms, and stop when your fingertips reach just above the kneecap. Hold this position.
    💡 Note for the Practitioner:
Instruct the user to bend forward only enough to clearly expose the thoracic spine. Preventing over-bending is crucial; if the upper thoracic area is lost beyond the capture boundary, the accuracy of the scoliosis measurement will not be guaranteed.

Core Function Analysis

  • Purpose: Assess core (abdominal/lumbar) stability and highlight the need for strengthening.
  • Recommended for:  Rehabilitation training, Pilates/Yoga practitioners, athletes preparing for intense workouts, individuals with lower back pain.
  • Measurement Method:  Perform five overhead squats.

Balance Ability Analysis

  • Purpose: Evaluate balance skills and prevent falls.
  • Recommended for: Seniors, rehabilitation patients, athletes, and posture correction program participants.
  • Measurement Method: Stand on one leg for 10 seconds.
