Measurement

Measurement

๐Ÿ‘€ Before Measuring:

  • Wear tight-fitting clothes, remove shoes, and tie long hair into a round bun at mid-height.
  • Stay relaxed for the most accurate results.
  • Make sure to remove your shoes. Wearing shoes may cause damage or malfunction to the Foot Insight sensor pad.

Choose the Right Test

Select the appropriate analysis based on the user's needs or treatment goals.

Follow the on-screen instructions to proceed with the measurement.

  • Static Pressure Analysis – Measures foot pressure distribution to reveal how ground support shapes full-body imbalance from the foundation up.

Note: Without Foot Insight connected, the test appears as [Static Posture Analysis]. Once connected, it automatically switches to [Static Pressure Analysis].

  • Posture Analysis – Detects postural imbalances and highlights the need for correction (Front, Side, Back, Adam's Forward Bend Test).

  • Core Function Analysis – Evaluates core stability through overhead squats.
  • Balance Ability Analysis – Evaluates balance and fall risk by standing on one leg for 10 seconds.

Static Pressure Analysis

  • Purpose: Measures foot pressure distribution to reveal how ground support shapes full-body imbalance from the foundation up.
  • Recommended for: Individuals with foot posture concerns or full-body balance issues.
  • Measurement Method: Integrated static foot pressure analysis combined with Front, Side, Back, and Adam's Forward Bend Test posture evaluations
  • Key Positioning
    • Foot Alignment: Align the tips of your toes precisely with the Front guide line on the sensor pad for maximum accuracy. (Foot pressure is measured once, during the Front-view measurement)
    • Head & Gaze: Stand relaxed on the sensor pad while keeping your gaze straight ahead.
  • Sensor Pad Setup & Mat Scan
    • Connection: Connect the Foot Insight USB cable to your laptop/PC before selecting the analysis type.
    • Mat Scan (Remove Sensor Pad): Remove the Foot Insight sensor pad from the mat. Ensure the mat is completely flat and clear, then align the camera & mat so the mat's white dashed line sits between the blue guide lines on the screen.
    • Sensor Pad Placement: Once the Mat Scan is complete, place the Foot Insight sensor pad back onto the mat, aligning it with the mat's white guide line.
    • Measurement: Have the user step onto the sensor pad to begin the measurement.
  • ๐Ÿคš Bare Mode Guide (Spinal Curve Check)
For noticeable spinal curvature, turn Bare Mode ON under Setting > Features.
    • Bare Mode ON: For noticeable spinal curve. No top / Bratop (Female) + Tight bottoms
    • Bare Mode OFF: For general posture. Tight top + Tight bottoms

๐Ÿ“Œ Adam's Forward Bend Test Position

  • Knee: Keep the knees straight.

  • Chin: Tuck it toward the collarbone.

  • Hands: Extend your arms, and stop when your fingertips reach just above the kneecap. Hold this position.
    ๐Ÿ’ก Practitioner Note
Do not allow over-bending. The thoracic spine must stay within the capture boundary to guarantee measurement accuracy.

Posture Analysis

  • Purpose: Identify postural imbalances and emphasize the need for correction.
  • Recommended for: Office workers, students, pre/post-exercise evaluation, individuals with forward head posture or back pain.
  • Measurement Method: Front, side, and back view analysis, including Adam's Forward Bend Test.

Core Function Analysis

  • Purpose: Assess core (abdominal/lumbar) stability and highlight the need for strengthening.
  • Recommended for:  Rehabilitation training, Pilates/Yoga practitioners, athletes preparing for intense workouts, individuals with lower back pain.
  • Measurement Method:  Perform five overhead squats.

Balance Ability Analysis

  • Purpose: Evaluate balance skills and prevent falls.
  • Recommended for: Seniors, rehabilitation patients, athletes, and posture correction program participants.
  • Measurement Method: Stand on one leg for 10 seconds.
